This series was spontaneous and fueled by a hurricane off the coast of Mexico causing Malibu’s Zuma Beach to suddenly flood. At the same time, there were raging wildfires burning up north which complimented the colors generated during the sunset. It was both beautiful and emotional. Beautiful to see the tides changing the coast but it was also emotional to contemplate the changes to come from the change in our climate and environment. After hiking through about 3 feet deep of sea water with my tripod soaked, I was grateful to capture this uniques scenic beauty at Zuma Beach in Malibu, CA.
